The CITY OF PASCAGOULA will receive bids for Hospital Road Improvements, Ph. II, Federal Aid Project No. STP-8971-00(007)LPA/106448-702000 no later than 2:00 p.m., Local Time, April 25, 2019, at the Pascagoula City Hall, 603 Watts Avenue, Pascagoula, MS 39567. All bids so received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Hospital Road Improvements, Phase II, consists of approximately 1,100 linear feet of roadway reconstruction to include earthwork, grading, asphalt paving, curbing, storm drain piping, sidewalks, and roadway lighting. The project also consists of performing work within CSX and MDOT right-of-way. Included as part of the project are upgrades to the existing infrastructure, including approximately 850 linear feet of 12” water main, 10” sewer main and all related items to complete the upgrades of the infrastructure.
The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and drawings referred to therein.
The attention of the Bidders is directed to the Contract Provisions governing selection and employment of labor. Minimum wage rates for Federal-Aid projects have been predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and are subject to Public Law 87-581 Work Hours Act of 1962, as set forth in the Contract Provisions.
The City of Pascagoula, Jackson County, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this Advertisement, Disadvantaged and Women’s Business Enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
The award of this contract will be contingent upon the Contractor satisfying the DBE/WBE requirements. The DBE goal is 2%.

Contract Documents may be examined at the Issuing Office, Monday through Thursday (between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.) and Friday (between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and noon).

Contract documents are being made available via paper copy or .pdf for a charge of $125.00 (hard copy) or $63.00 (pdf). The date that the Contract Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Contract Documents. Partial sets of Contract Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
